Pupils leave signs of the times in new St Helier shop

Yesterday, one of the pupils – Rouge Bouillon’s Carolena Martins – drew a picture of what she thought her school would look like and said she hoped that the trees at the primary could eventually produce sweets.

She added: ‘I think that when I come back here in 50 years’ time I will be able to recognise the place where the capsule was buried. It is really exciting, but very strange – I don’t know who will find it.

‘I drew a picture of what our uniforms and school might look like. I think there will be trees full of sweets.’
