A total of 19 checks were carried out across the Island by the force and their honorary colleagues, resulting in 19 drivers being summoned to parish-hall inquiries. A further 34 drivers were given words of advice.
One driver was clocked driving at 56 mph on Victoria Avenue, which is a 40 mph zone. Another motorist was stopped travelling at 32 mph on Mont Les Vaux, St Brelade, which is a 20 mph zone, and another was stopped for driving at 48 mph on Route du Fort, St Helier, which is a 30 mph road.
