Augustin Warner (25) left St Malo on his bike nearly seven months ago with the intention of cycling to China.
Although he never managed to cross the Chinese border because of problems with a visa, Mr Warner – a former analyst in the Chief Minister’s Department – visited at least 17 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia before ending his trip in Kazakhstan.
He had to fly from Iran to Uzbekistan because of visa problems in Turkmenistan.
