Telecoms customer satisfaction better

The Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities said that they had identified ‘some emerging positive patterns’ after they commissioned Island Global Research to survey 1,000 customers.

However, they found that with the exception of Sure there ‘remains a high proportion of customers on both islands who do not consider their broadband experience to be positive’.

Customers across the Channel Islands were questioned about their satisfaction with landlines, mobile telecoms, fixed broadband services and – for the first time – mobile broadband and. Consumer satisfaction with landline services has increased compared to previous results for both JT and Sure – going up to 55% and 87% respectively, while customer satisfaction levels with mobile telecoms were fairly consistent to previous surveys – Sure achieved ratings of 82%, Airtel 80%, while JT’s rating improved slightly to 58%.
