Victim of crystals theft asks to meet intruder

And the intruder – Stuart Benjamin Marsh – has agreed to meet the woman as part of a restorative justice programme.

In the Magistrate’s Court this week, Marsh (22), of Cranham Court, St Helier, was sentenced to a total of 120 hours’ community service after he admitted breaking into the Isis Centre on 14 May this year.

Although it was not part of the sentence, the owner of the healing centre requested that she and Marsh both take part in the restorative justice programme, which is run the Jersey Probation Service.

Under the scheme victims of crime can, in appropriate cases, either meet the people who have committed offences against them or make their views known to them through the restorative justice officer.
