Jersey-registered firms linked to probe into BHS pensions?

On Monday BHS went into administration, putting up to 60 jobs at the business’s King Street store at risk and 11,000 jobs under threat nationwide.

On Wednesday, The Times reported that the property arrangements of Sir Philip Green are expected to be part of the investigation by the UK pension regulator into why BHS has a pension black hole of £571 million.

Between Sir Philip’s acquisition of BHS in 2000 and 2014, BHS reportedly paid a total of £127.6 million in rent to two companies understood to be based offshore, according to an analysis of accounts filed at UK registry Companies House.
