Cognito was set up earlier this year by Blue Badge Guide Remi Couriard and former Tourism director Nigel Philpott to provide training for the hospitality industry.
The new company is also organising tours for visitors arriving for the day by sea, specialist, upmarket coach tours for exclusive groups and specialist walks.
Next month up to four cruise ships are expected to be visiting Jersey, with each ship potentially bringing up to ten coachloads ashore, all of whom will require the services of an on-board tour guide and both Mr Couriard and Mr Philpott are keen to ensure that visitors and those coming to work in the Island are given accurate knowledge about Jersey’s history and culture.
