The Lions Club of Jersey Swimarathon raised £138,130 – the second-highest total in the fundraising event’s 45-year history and £5,000 more than last year.
Half the money will be divided equally between ten local charities which help Islanders with mental health issues, and the remainder will be used by the Lions Club to support other worthy causes in Jersey.
About 4,000 swimmers in 480 teams took part in the event at Les Quennevais pool from Wednesday to Sunday.
