Fort gym axes heavy weights after ‘meathead’ complaints

Dumbbells exceeding 50 kg were recently taken away after customers made complaints in a survey, claiming that ‘meatheads’ and ‘steroid users’ were creating ‘a negative atmosphere’ for women and ‘inexperienced gym users’.

The gym also made the changes for health and safety reasons as some members of staff could not lift the heavier weights and put them away.

A report compiled by the gym in response to the survey concluded that the heaviest weights should be removed to deter the ‘more hardcore bodybuilder type’.
