Teacher was unfairly sacked, rules tribunal

The teacher was fired in 2014 and lost an internal appeal against the decision early last year.

He went on to take his case against the States Employment Board (SEB) to the Jersey Employment and Discrimination Tribunal, which recently ruled in his favour.

As well as 26 weeks’ worth of wages in compensation, the teacher could also be reinstated after applying to get his job back.
