The secondary school will be open from 12 noon until 2 pm to offer support to anyone affected by the 14-year-old’s death.
Police have not issued any more information about the incident, but confirmed on Friday that they are not currently treating the death as suspicious, describing the incident as a ‘tragic accident’.
The emergency services were called to the sand dunes, in St Brelade, shortly before 6 pm on Friday.
Both the States and Honorary Police worked together with ambulance and fire crews at the scene to try and save the teenager, but he later died.
