The JEP’s anniversary gift to the Island

Over the next few months in the run up to 30 June, the date 125 years ago when the first Evening Post was printed, readers will get a glimpse of the collection through a series of souvenir supplements filled with photographs that capture the changing faces of the Island and its people.

With the approval of the Guiton Publishing board, negotiations on behalf of the JEP were initiated by former editor Chris Bright and picture editor Peter Mourant and consent was given to enable the collection to be placed in the Jersey Archive.

Full story in this weekend’s JEP, in which the first Jersey Through the Decades supplement is included free, focusing on the 1890s.
