Minister given a week to hand over documents

A preliminary hearing on Tuesday heard that a summons was made in April, but the department has yet to submit any of the documents, all of which relate to the historical abuse redress scheme.

If the department fails to produce the records and the matter is passed to the courts, the department could then be ordered by the Bailiff, under the States of Jersey law 1966 (revised 2004) Article 36G, to submit the documents.
