Passengers sent flying as Condor hits harbour wall

At 7.20 pm the sailing from St Malo was coming into dock when it reversed into the wall. Although no one was hurt, one witness said that passengers who were picking up their bags and getting ready to disembark were thrown on to the floor.

Jersey Harbours have confirmed that there was no damage to the wall and that they do not expect any delays or disruption to today’s sailings.

Trust company worker Paul Walker (21), who was returning home from a few days in Paris with his girlfriend, Katie Mulligan, said that passengers had been shocked at the crash. He said: ‘Everyone was stood up getting ready to go and then he just went straight into the Harbour wall and everyone went flying because the boat stopped really abruptly.’
