JERSEY Wanderers Football Club defender David Blampied is the latest winner of the Capita Jersey Football Association Centre of Excellence’s Sid Guy Award.
The Victoria College Year-9 student received the Channel Television donated accolade last night at Les Quennevais from the late Sid Guy’s sister, Valerie Guy.
Centre director Paul Renton said: ‘David is a deserved winner because he has got better and better every year. He has a fantastic attitude and real willingness to learn.’
The award is given to the player, chosen by the coaches in the Centre, who has shown up best in terms of development and attitude.
