Gee and Connon help topple Tower

JERSEY Wanderers and St Paul’s joined First Tower on 12 points at the top of the under-16 division on Sunday morning after Tower slipped to their first defeat of the season.

First half goals from Andrew Gee and Ryan Connon secured Wanderers a 2-0 victory against Tower at the Hockey Club but Tower still head the trio on goal-difference.

St Paul’s, who have a game in hand on the other two, retained their 100 per record after winning by the odd-goal in three at St Saviour against St Ouen.

Corey Romeril and Harrison Jukes were on target for St Paul’s and Reuben Vieira for St Ouen.

Rozel Rovers joined Grouville on seven points after defeating the parish club 3-0 at Le Boulivot, thanks to goals from Conor Mallet and Ben Rose. Adam Kennedy hit Grouville’s consolation.

Dylan Gee bagged a hat-trick in St Peter’s 5-2 home success against St John with the winners’ other goals coming from Alex Burnouf and James Carolan.
