Island football manager Peter Vincenti has chosen a young but strong and talented squad to visit the northern Isle where the hosts will be looking to record their first ever victory against a Jersey side in the history of the competition.

The uncapped players are: Carl Eubank (St Paul’s), Russell Le Feuvre (Grouville), Peter Vincenti (St Peter), Luke Watson (Trinity), Scott Devlin (Jersey Scottish) and Jack Cannon (Jersey Wanderers).

The others are Jimmy Styles (Trinity), Casey Hickling (Grouville), Stuart André (Jersey Scottish), Jon Fitzmaurice (Trinity), Luc Le Mière (Grouville), Dave Brodie (Jersey Scottish), Dominic Maher (St Peter), Craig Leitch (Jersey Scottish), Chris Andrews (Jersey Scottish), Ross Crick (Jersey Scottish), Danny Craven (Trinity) and David Le Roux (Trinity).

Recently-appointed manager for a second spell, Vincenti has seen his lads in action just once, a 1-0 South West Counties Championship victory against Gloucestershire in mid-February at Springfield.

Vincenti said: ‘My plans were disrupted with the postponement of a trial game last week, it would have been a good opportunity to have looked at other players while also keeping the under-21 squad together at the same time.

‘That would have benefited both sides but unfortunately the weather intervened.

‘There are a lot of uncapped players in the senior squad but that does not say that we will underestimate Alderney.

‘We’ll travel with the right mental approach and go to win the game.

Alderney came out recently saying Jersey and Guernsey are getting worse.

It’s a view to be respected because it is their team manager saying it.’
