ALMOST 200 performers took to the stage at Haute Vallée School when the Emma Jane Dance Academy unveiled its annual production at the weekend.

I’ve Got Rhythm featured children and teenagers, from three-year-olds who performed as unicorns to senior girls who showcased a variety of different genres.

Speaking in advance of the shows, academy founder Emma Jane Griffiths said: ‘Our teachers, dancers and cheerleaders have put in a great deal of diligent work in their preparations over the past five months. I’ve Got Rhythm is a showcase of ballet, tap, modern, street, jazz, cheer and acro.’

Over the last 16 years the dance academy has raised over £85,500 for various charities with its shows and their chosen charity for 2023 was Brighter Futures Jersey, which provides support for local families.
