Man admits attempted murder following stabbing outside Jersey hotel

A 35-YEAR-OLD man from the UK has admitted attempted murder after stabbing a man outside a Jersey hotel.

In the Royal Court on Friday, Liam Michael Carmody, from Yorkshire, pleaded guilty to attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in relation to an incident in the car park of the Ambassadeur Hotel in St Clement on 24 March.

Carmody, who appeared via video link, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced by the Superior Number, which convenes for Jersey’s most serious cases, on 8 August.
