However, event director Jackie Donald said there would be plenty of ‘walk-in’ tickets available on the day and for Friday’s Moonlight Parade.

‘The tickets are going extremely well and the weather helps as the long-range forecast is looking good,’ she said.

‘We have had some very large group bookings this year, which is great. We have also had a conversation with a cruise company who are visiting next week and they are bringing 180 people from the ship.

‘St Brelade’s College is coming with 100 students, and CI Travel Group has bought 300-plus tickets.’

And with more visitors due to arrive in the Island, Mrs Donald expects interest in the event to increase over the coming days.

The dedicated Battle ticket kiosk opened on 1 August in Liberty Wharf and is open every day until tickets run out.

By Friday, all front-row seats along the pavement of Victoria Avenue had been sold but Mrs Donald said there was still availability on rows behind and in the stands.

However, she advised anyone who wanted a seat to book fast.
