Jersey Dairy to meet international buyers at business festival

The dairy is taking part in the 2018 International Business Festival in Liverpool, an event that is due to attract 150 delegates from more than 90 countries and which aims to boost British exports.

Jersey Dairy is due to feature in a number of ‘meet the buyer sessions’ organised by the Food and Drink Exporter Association, where international buyers meet producers from Britain’s food and drink industries.

Bob Jones, head of marketing and exports at Jersey Dairy, said: ‘Jersey Dairy has been very successful in the export arena over the last five years with export business growing from seven per cent to 30 per cent of turnover.

‘We have established strong retail partnerships in the Far East and this year began business in the Middle East. We want to widen our customer base and in Liverpool I will be meeting buyers from India, Thailand, Turkey and Mexico, among others.

‘Our export marketing will continue to focus on and emphasise the quality and premium nature of products made from milk from our pedigree herds here in the Island and we know that the provenance, purity and traceability of out products really appeal in overseas markets.’
