FARMERS CAESAREANS qualified for the Championship week of the European Cricket League in Malaga following a pair sensational wins over Danish club Svanholm on the final day of Group B.

Farmers lost to Svanholm in their opening match on Thursday but three following wins put them face-to-face in a qualifier to get to the Group B final, which the Jersey side won by eight wickets, with two overs to spare.

Svaholm took their second chance to get to the final by beating VOC Rotterdam in the second qualifier to play Farmers for a third time. This time it went down to the penultimate ball, with James Smith hitting the winning boundary.

Farmers return to the Costa del Sol for Championship week on 20 March.
