Bulls to rotate over Christmas period

Bulls to rotate over Christmas period

Gary Freeman’s side – on a run of 19 consecutive league wins following Saturday’s 2-0 win against Godalming Town – go to Ash United this weekend, before a trip to Farnham between Christmas Day and New Year.

Their festive schedule finishes at Cove on 4 January and with injuries starting to bite already, the changes are set to be rung.

‘We will rotate as we have to,’ said Freeman.

‘Karl Hinds and Kamen Nafkha picked up injuries on Saturday and struggled in training and a little bit of fatigue is starting to come, but we have a big enough squad to deal with it.

‘Sol Solomon dislocated his shoulder and will be out until around the end of January.

‘The lads are always good at looking after themselves so I have no worries about them letting their hair down and relaxing over Christmas.’

Bulls have already played more games than they would have in an entire JFA Jacksons Premiership campaign.

Freeman added: ‘It is going to be hard, it is the 19th game and a full season here is usually 18 so we have another full Jersey league season to play.

‘The lads usually have time off at Christmas but this is different. We will carry on as normal and we have lads coming in and a couple going out.

‘But the good thing is that the players drive themselves, there is intensity in training and games and there is no reason why this run can’t keep going.’
