LUKE Harris completed his fifth loan move last Friday, joining Wigan Athletic from Fulham on a season-long deal with an option to buy.
The 21-year-old Jerseyman has made 102 senior appearances during a career which has seen him gain experience across the Premier League, the Championship and League One.
Speaking to Wigan Athletic, Harris said: “I’m delighted to be here. It has been ongoing for a while, but I’m just happy to be here now and I can’t wait to get going.”
The attacking midfielder will reunite with Gary Caldwell, having previously worked under the Wigan boss at Exeter City in 2024.
Harris said Caldwell was a key factor in his decision to join the Latics: “The Gaffer is one of the main reasons I wanted to come here,” he said. “It’s a big club in itself, and it helps that he is here as well – it’s nice to be working with him again.
“I played my best football under him, so it was a no-brainer.”
Harris believes his previous loan spells have played an important role in his development.
“All of my loans have been a great experience, but they have all been different,” he said.
“They have made me into the player that I am today. Hopefully I can show the Wigan fans what I’m all about.”
