THE curtain came down on the CorefocusX Summer League 2026 with a packed final Sunday of fixtures, as teams battled for the remaining positions in the table.
With Base Invaders already crowned Division Two champions, the focus turned to the race for second to fourth, as Division One leaders Atom Pirates had also secured their title before the final day.
Pitcher & Le Quesne Titans 15-14 CorefocusX Cubs
CorefocusX Cubs came agonisingly close to recording their first win of the season, showing calm defence and composed hitting throughout.
Titans applied enough pressure late on to edge the contest by a single run, leaving Cubs with a frustrating end to their campaign.
Ferryspeed Falcons 3–29 Atom Pirates
Division One champions Atom Pirates showed exactly why they had secured the title, dominating from the opening inning.
Their offence fired from the outset as they controlled the game from start to finish, restricting Falcons to just three runs to complete a commanding campaign.
Tigerz 14-23 Henderson Green Giants
In their first of two must-win games, Henderson Green Giants carried their recent momentum into the contest and built an early lead they never relinquished.
Tigerz continued to apply pressure, but Giants’ consistent hitting secured the victory and kept their hopes of finishing second alive ahead of their showdown with Phoenix.
Phoenix 24-13 Henderson Green Giants
With second place on the line, this matchup delivered plenty of intensity.
Giants pushed hard, but Phoenix found their rhythm late on, producing a decisive scoring burst to pull clear and secure their position in the table as the season came to a close.
Hamptonne Farm Odd Ballz 17-14 Raiders
Odd Ballz capped their debut season with a memorable victory over Division One opponents Raiders.
The lead changed hands several times, but Odd Ballz held their nerve in the final innings to claim a statement win and finish their first campaign on a high.
3CI Sport Flyers 39-15 Eagles
The final game of the season produced one of the day’s biggest offensive displays, with Flyers piling on 39 runs while limiting Eagles to sporadic scoring.
It was a dominant way for Flyers to round off the 2026 campaign.
That brings the CorefocusX Summer League 2026 to a close, with Jersey’s divisional champions and island squads now turning their attention to the Muratti and inter-insulars on 12 September.
The fixtures will take place at Les Quennevais, where Jersey will welcome their Guernsey rivals for another day of island softball.
With silverware on the line once again, supporters are encouraged to head down and back the Jersey side.
