T20 ACTION returns tomorrow with the opening round of the domestic DFDS Premier T20 League at FB Fields, with all four Premier Division sides in action and a host of international stars on show.

The day begins at 10.30am as ATF St Ouen Springfield take on RGA Walkovers, before defending champions Farmers Caesareans face last year’s runners-up Old Victorians from 2.30pm.

After unavailability disrupted the early weeks of the domestic season, the excitement of the T20 format has helped restore strength across all four squads heading into the competition opener.

ATF St Ouen Springfield v RGA Walkovers

SOS and Walkovers meet for the second time this season after St Ouen cruised to victory in the 40-over format thanks to (below) Patrick Gouge’s remarkable double century. But the shorter format could prove a leveller, with Walkovers possessing plenty of firepower to challenge the westerners.

Drew Sylvester is one to watch after an outstanding weekend with the bat against the MCC. The stylish wicketkeeper-batter scored an unbeaten 93 on Saturday before adding scores of 76 and 65 not out in Sunday’s T20 fixtures.

Alongside captain Dan Birrell and Tiaan Kruger, Walkovers have no shortage of power hitting or seam-bowling options.

Leg-spinner Ben Beeley also returns for the Blues, joining left-arm spinner Will Taylor and young wrist-spinner Theo Bell in a varied bowling attack.

St Ouen, meanwhile, still boast plenty of quality despite the absence of Jersey star Harrison Carlyon. Gouge returns fresh from a strong week in Cyprus at the World Cup qualifiers, while the likes of Georon Claasen, Robbie Forrest, stand-in captain Dom Blampied and Ben Heelis make up a dynamic top order.

The FB wicket could also suit SOS, who lay claim to the division’s strongest spin attack through Elliot Miles, Blampied and Kush Pathak.

RGA Walkovers: Dan Birrell (c), Elliot Corbel, Drew Sylvester, Will Taylor, Tiaan Kruger, Theo Bell, Theo Vautier, Alex Spencer, Ben Beeley, Danny Blasco, Joe Bevis

Farmers Caesareans v Rathbones Old Victorians

The afternoon fixture sees a repeat of the 2025 final between Farmers and Old Victorians. On that occasion, Nick Greenwood’s explosive innings powered Farmers to the title, though the champions are without the Wellington star today.

Captain Rhys Palmer (below, centre) still leads an exciting side packed with youth and experience.

Wicketkeeper Jack Kemp continues to impress after breaking into the international setup, while Jersey captain Chuggy Perchard and all-rounder Scott Van Breda provide proven quality with both bat and ball.

Farmers may lack outright pace bowling options, but Palmer’s off-spin, Sol Bennett’s early-season form and the leg-spin of young Ollie Ramage could prove effective on a used surface later in the day.

Old Victorians are also missing a key figure, with captain and back-to-back Jersey Cricketer of the Year James Duckett sidelined by a finger injury. Scott Simpson captains the side in his absence.

OVs still carry significant batting threat through Charlie Brennan, Ed Giles (right) and Jamie Watling, particularly with the short straight boundary at FB Fields likely to tempt some of the domestic game’s biggest hitters.

Their bowling attack looks seam-heavy, led by Simpson and Giles alongside the wily Rob Duckett and young seamer James Wiseman, with Freddie Harben’s improving spin offering another option.
