RAI DOS SANTOS netted his second hat-trick in three home games as the Jersey Bulls swept aside Crowborough Athletic 6-1 at Springfield yesterday.
The win has moved the Bulls up into fourth place in the Isthmian South East Division, leapfrogging both Sittingbourne and Faversham Town, who each suffered defeats.
Dos Santos, who was suitably named player of the match, completed a “perfect hat-trick”, scoring with his right foot, left foot and his head to extend his red-hot form to nine goals in his last five home appearances.
Luke Campbell opened the scoring after just nine minutes, before two from Dos Santos and a 19th goal of the season from Lorne Bickley made it 4-0 before the half hour mark.
Dos Santos duly completed his hat-trick and obligatory backflip just before the hour mark, with midfielder Toby Ritzema adding a sixth to complete the rout.
Crowborough did manage to secure a consolation goal with 15 minutes remaining, but the damage was well and truly done in front of a season high 1,189 people at Springfield.
The Bulls have just five matches remaining in the Isthmian South East Division and their spot in the playoffs is firmly in their hands now.
See tomorrow’s JEP for the full match report completed by Mr John Trevelen.
