The standout result came against arch rivals Guernsey Ladies, fourth in the table, as Jersey claimed a 25-20, 25-14 win in straight sets for the second time this season.

Having won the division last year and progressed to the South East Volleyball Association finals, Jersey sit second behind Winchester Ladies, two points back with two games in hand.
Captain Andreea Gabriela said: “This weekend was a testament to the unbreakable spirit defining our season. With 14-15 dedicated athletes training week after week, our teamwork has never been stronger.
“For the third year running, we’re proudly representing Jersey on the UK mainland and the results speak volumes. Hats off to our exceptional coach, Deirdre, whose guidance has elevated our level of play and created an atmosphere of positivity and belief.

“We’re in one of the best places we’ve ever been as a squad, focused on defending the Hampshire title on 22 March. The Island Games next year are also firmly in our sights too, we’re all extremely excited to be wearing the Jersey shirt at this time with so much to look forward to.
“A massive thank you to Butterfield Bank for sponsoring our kits. I’m thrilled to be part of this squad – the hard work doesn’t stop here.”
Kiera Melville, on her first trip as full-time main setter, added: “We played fantastically. The trust and connection on and off court is clear, and we fought hard for those three victories.”
Coach Deirdre du Rue also commented, saying she was reassured by her side’s focus in key moments. “Even though we didn’t drop a set, none were easy. The players used their experience to manage tough points and stay calm. Our training plan is taking effect, though there are still areas to refine. Overall, we’re very happy with where we are.”
Jersey’s final round of fixtures takes place on 22 March.
