ELLIOT POWELL has been honoured for his side’s unbeaten start to the new year in the
Isthmian South East Division with the VITA Risk Solutions Manager of the Month for January 2026.
Jersey Bulls currently sit in sixth place in their debut season in the Isthmian South East
division, remarkably just one spot outside of the playoffs after three wins and two draws in
January to start the year.
Powell, just 27 years of age, has won the award for the first time and captain James Querée
was effusive in his praise for his gaffer.
“It’s amazing for him to be recognised, his first response will probably be to credit the lads but I think it’s important to reflect for a minute on how lucky Jersey are to have a manager of his calibre of coaching and management.
“It’s easy to assume he’s a seasoned manager, but people forget just how young he is. For him to command the success he’s had for the club both on and off the pitch is a testament to him as a person and the wider support staff of coaches he’s built around him.
“I’m made up for him, I know the lads will be made up for him too and it comes as no surprise to us. He’s talented, he’s ambitious and the results speak for themselves.
“I truly believe this is a steppingstone for him as a coach and while the club was formed
to always give players an opportunity to put themselves on the platform in the UK, I think it’s a great opportunity for managers as well and Powelly would be the first of that.”
Confident, professional and honest, Powell boasts all the attributes required for the very
top level of coaching.
His ambition and passion for the game have commanded seasoned players far his elder to follow him at both local club level, Island level and now within the Jersey Bulls’ rise through the English football pyramid.
