JERSEY Hockey’s Men’s Division 1 Senior Cup gets underway this weekend, with two quarter-final ties scheduled at Les Quennevais.

League champions Icecap Crusaders headline Saturday’s action as they face third-placed Integritas JHC Leopards in a 3.30pm push-back. Crusaders completed the league double over Leopards on their way to the Division 1 title, but both encounters were keenly contested, setting up an intriguing cup clash.

Earlier in the day, OV Convicts meet Hautlieu HC at 1.30pm. Convicts narrowly missed out on the league title in December, while Hautlieu endured a difficult campaign, collecting just one point from nine matches. Although Convicts dominated both league meetings this season, the knockout format offers Hautlieu a chance to reset.

Victoria College 1st XI and Walkers Vanguards, who finished fourth and fifth respectively, have received byes into the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the Second Division title race remains finely poised with three rounds of fixtures still to play.

This weekend sees Panthers take on Victoriana, with Victoriana and JHC Lions level on 20 points. The league’s leaders face off in a title decider next Saturday.
