IT has been a landmark week for Regent Gymnastics, with head coach Julia Falle named South Coach of the Year at the IGA 2025 Awards, while four of the club’s athletes have earned selection for the 2026 IGA National Squad.
Falle received her award at a ceremony held on Saturday evening at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, recognising her outstanding contribution to coaching and club development over the past year.
The accolade reflects her dedication, leadership, and commitment to raising performance standards across the club, as well as fostering a culture of ambition and professionalism among her gymnasts.
Regent officials praised Falle’s work, noting that her guidance and support have been central to the club’s progress and its remarkable achievements this season.
The club’s success was further underscored this week with confirmation that four Regent gymnasts have been selected for the 2026 National Squad.
Tilly Le Boutillier will join the Women’s Artistic Senior Squad, while Florence Irwin has been selected for the Women’s Artistic Junior Squad.
In the men’s categories, Hayden Turner and Jayden Barry will represent the club in the National Men’s Artistic Squad.
Regent officials described the selections as a testament to the dedication and teamwork that underpin the club’s training programmes, highlighting both the gymnast’ talent and the strength of the coaching structure that supports them.
The National Squad appointments mark one of the club’s strongest showings at this level in recent years, demonstrating the pathway from grassroots training to elite competition.
Falle said: “This is an exceptional achievement for Julia, the coaches and the gymnasts. Having four athletes selected for the National Squad demonstrates the progress our teams have made and the commitment shown throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved.”
The award for South Coach of the Year was presented to Falle by IGA chief executive Chris Adams, rounding off a week that highlights both individual excellence and the wider success of Regent Gymnastics.
