JERSEY Reds’ scrum-half James Elliott put in a man-of-the-match display as the Islanders scored seven tries to win 43-0 against London Scottish in their Premiership Cup debut.

Winger Pete Sullivan, lock James Scott, fullback Brendan Owen, lock Hallam Chapman all scored, as well as a late brace by replacement hooker James Hadfield.

Reds’ chief Harvey Biljon cut a delighted figure with the dominant win amid heavily humid conditions at the Richmond Athletic Ground in South West London.

It sets the Championship champions stool high as they sit second in Pool C, below Exeter Chiefs and above Bath.
