JERSEY Bulls left it late as they beat Alton to pick up their first points of the season.
Having lost at home to Tooting and Mitcham on the opening day of the league season, the Bulls were desperate to return to winning ways on their trip to Hampshire.
For most of the game, it looked as if the Islanders were going to be frustrated once more but with just six minutes left of normal time remaining, Fraser Barlow made the breakthrough.
Alton pushed forward for an equaliser in the latter stages but Bulls were able to seal a 2-0 win when Luke Watson slotted home after Lorne Bickley’s strike was pushed into his path by the keeper.
Jersey Bulls now turn their attention to FA Cup action on Saturday with a home tie against Knaphill.
