A SECOND bronze for Jersey’s indoor bowls team was added to the medal pile, this time in the shape of the open pairs tandem of Sally Black and Jean Holmes.
Playing in Group B, the duo beat both the Falkland Islands and Ynys Môn, while dropping just one match to Guernsey.
They finished second overall and thus claimed the bronze.
In Group A, Cyril Renouf and Luke Le Sueur will be waiting for other teams to finish their matches today to determine their fate.
The pair have completed their four fixtures, winning three and losing just one, to leave them top of the pile as it stands.
The remaining four teams in their group square off against each other today and if the Guernsey tandem of Shirley Petit and Rosemary Ogier win their match, they will replace the Jersey duo at the top of Group A.
Meanwhile in the open singles, Michael Rive is off to a flyer.
The Islander has won his first four matches in Group B.
His remaining fixture today is an enticing match-up against Guernsey star Alison Merrien.
In the other group, Ann Cross has played four of her pool matches, winning one and losing three. She currently lies in fourth.
