Again led by Charles ‘Chuggy’ Perchard, the line-up has a familiar look to it, with a good mixture of youth and experience. Will Robertson, the latest to play in a First Class match just last weekend when he took a wicket for MCC Oxford against Kent, before the game was abandoned, is probably the least ‘rusty’ of the players after an extremely wet winter and spring.
The tournament, Jersey’s reward for winning Division 5, will be played from 29 April to 6 May, in Kuala Lumpur. Jersey will be bidding for their first-ever promotion to Division 3 against Malaysia and Uganda (both relegated from Division 3); Vanuatu (promoted alongside Jersey from Division 5; Denmark and Bermuda (both having retained their place in Division 4).
Jersey’s campaign will start on the 29th against Vanuatu.
