The St Paul’s forward, who was crowned the league’s best player in 2015, is one of seven players to have missed the cut after Jersey’s 5-2 victory against Essex & Suffolk Border League. And, as the Reds prepare to defend their title against Guernsey, there is also no room for Jersey Scottish striker Daryl Wilson.
Lester scored 35 goals for St Paul’s this season – second only to team-mate Craig Russell (40) – and Wilson netted twice after coming off the bench against Essex four days ago.
Meanwhile, Michael and Calvin Weir become the first brothers to be included in the same Muratti squad since Dave and Luke Watson both played in 2010.
