Annual visitors Llantrisant Sharks carried away the silverware for the best visiting team while Tigers swimmers excelled winning eight best-swimmer-in-age-group awards.

Sharks coach Keith Morgan was full of praise for the event and he supported the view that Jersey swimming would benefit from a 50-metre pool being built in the Island.

Morgan said: ‘I’d love to see a 50-metre pool here; it would certainly benefit Jersey swimmers because there would be less travelling for them and less expensive for families as well as it would help swimmers get their long course times at home.’
