The three islanders – Stanley Keites, Harry Gallichan and Jonny Anderson – went down 3-0 but they gained valuable experience against an impressive Shanklin and Sandown, from the Isle of Wight, the latter who included one England squad player and another on the fringes.
And with players who have at least two years remaining in the under-18 competition, the future is bright for the Grouville-based club.
