Playing at Royal Jersey in the Acorn-sponsored championship, Parkman defeated fellow club member Sam Crenan 3 and 1 for his third title success while also following in the footsteps of previous back-to-back winners Trevor Gray (Royal Jersey) and Chris Chevalier (La Moye).
There was no more than two holes between the players, always in Parkman’s favour, and unfortunately for Crenan he suffered a dip in form on the back nine despite sinking an excellent 40-foot putt to take the match to the penultimate hole.
