TWO further bronze medals were won by the Jersey team on the final day of competition at the XVII Jeux des Iles in Ajaccio, Corsica on Friday – taking the final overall tally to seven.

Both medals were won in the pool, taking the Caesarean swimmers' tally to six – the other bronze was won on Thursday by judo player Alex Cotton.

Isabelle Atherley achieved her second podium finish by knocking five seconds off her personal best time in the 200m IM – her 2 min 35.12 sec secured the sixth bronze.

Tom Cairns added to his 400m I.M. third place finish on Wednesday by achieving Jersey's seventh, and final, bronze medal - in the 1500m freestyle.
