Greechan managed to perform at key moments in his opening match against Jonathan Ross from Scotland – a replay of the Islander’s World Champion of Champions final victory – to claim a straight-sets victory.
The score was level at 4-4 going into the final end of either set and on both occasions, the Jerseyman won 5-4.
