The visitors, who are lying second in the division, beat Jersey by 20-13, having been losing 3-7 at half-time.
On an extremely muddy pitch, Nottingham upped their game in the second half, putting pressure on the Islanders to score a penalty and converted try within ten minutes, giving them a 13-7 lead.
Jersey added six points to their tally, but another Nottingham try had already extended their lead and gave them a final winning score of 20-13.
A consolation for the Islanders, who remain second from bottom in the division, was that they gained a bonus point, which is given for a loss by seven points or fewer.
