Cochrane must wait

Sport | Published:

Jersey rugby player Harry Cochrane represented London and South-East's under-18 divisional side against the North division at Leeds over the weekend.

Having been selected to represent his region following trials at Thames Ditton on 6 January, the scrum-half has now played two matches with national officials assessing players for an England U18 clubs and schools squad.

The match was dominated by the North's huge pack as London and SE struggled to compete up front, eventually slumping to a 21-5 defeat.

Cochrane must now wait to see if his efforts have been noticed by selectors as the North division still have to play their postponed match against the midlands before the England U18 clubs and schools squad is announced.
