Jersey’s Scott Clayton was part of the team who reached the final eight of the high quality competition in Venice after progressing through qualifying in Slovakia. Sadly GB’s winning run came to an end on Monday as they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Germany. However, they continue to play off for position and take on Croatia on Tuesday.

It has been an incredible couple of weeks for the GB junior boys’ team as they secured a place in the finals after beating the Netherlands on day one 2-1. Clayton, world ranked 98 in the juniors, lost his singles 6-2, 6-1 but came through with Jonny O’Mara to clinch the decisive doubles 7-6 (6), 6-2.
