Having already taken the scalps of Irish aces Gary Kelly and Ian McClure, and England’s Mark Bantock and Rob Newman, the talented ‘Jersey Boys’ defeated Welsh stars Mark Harding and Jon Tomlinson, 25-10, yesterday morning.
And yes, they did ‘struggle’ against Spain’s Paul Brown and Derek Eldon, dropping the first four shots, and trailing 7-8 at ten ends, but still managed to return a winning card.
They are now being talked about as the ‘team-to-beat’, and are hotly tipped for the title – though there are still some top class combinations standing in their way.
