Jersey at odds with the UK over finance transparency?

JERSEY could be on course for a clash with the British government after a UK minister’s claims that the Island has made a commitment to publish company beneficial ownership details were challenged by the External Relations Department. Conservative MP John Glen, the minister for the City of London, has said that the Crown Dependencies – Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man – will be expected to introduce a fully transparent register of company beneficial ownership if it becomes the ‘global standard’ and that they have ‘committed’ to doing so.
