SOMEONE once calculated – I have a feeling it was a fellow columnist but one of many years ago – that placing a youngster on the end of the Albert Pier and telling him to throw 50p pieces into the water one at a time as fast as he could would not cost taxpayers as much as Fort Regent at that time.
