A GRANDPARENT battling breast cancer has been nominated for her continual courage and determination, ensuring that her “grandchildren are growing up surrounded by unconditional love and quiet strength”.
Her nominator, Laura Robertson, praised Sandra Dauny for giving herself and her husband the “greatest gift working parents could ask for” – complete peace of mind.
“We know our boys are not only safe, but cherished. Her kindness and unwavering support have helped our whole family thrive,” continued Mrs Robertson.
Ms Dauny ensures that priceless memories are created from the many adventures together, bedtime stories and a constant flow of ice creams, according to Mrs Robertson, who added that these are memories which will “stay with the children for the rest of their lives”.
The grandmother has not just provided childcare, but she has given them a second home, full of love and laughter, according to Mrs Robertson.
