Nominated by: Jacqueline McDermott
A FUNDRAISER who has helped generate more than £1 million for local charities over two decades of volunteering has been nominated for the Volunteer/Fundraiser of the Year award.
Louise Minier has supported so many local causes over the past 20 years that she can no longer keep track of them all.
Her efforts have included organising raffles and events for some of the Island’s biggest charities – including Diabetes Jersey, Jersey Hospice Care and Wooden Spoon.
Nominator Jacqueline McDermott said that what makes Mrs Minier particularly deserving of recognition is how “so willing she is” to help others.
She described her as being “there at the drop of a hat” for anyone who needs her support.
Mrs Minier organises charity events through her work for Ports of Jersey, but also dedicates her own time to supporting good causes across the Island.
