A MONT à L’Abbé School early-years teacher has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year award for “making a genuine difference in the lives of every child she teaches”.

Her nominator Lisa Patton said that Francesca Lancaster-Adlam ensured that every pupil’s wellbeing was the top of her priorities, as “she creates a safe, happy, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and confident to learn”.

Mrs Lancaster-Adlam is said to tailor her teaching so that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential and demonstrates great adaptability to make sure no child is ever left behind, said Miss Patton.

“I genuinely wish I had been taught by someone like her when I was at school,” Miss Patton said, adding that Mrs Lancaster-Ad-lam “teaches in a way that makes learning accessible and understandable”.

Describing her as “an inspiration”, Miss Patton said that Mrs Lancaster-Adlam led with compassion and “sets a wonderful example for both her colleagues and her pupils”.
